In my opinion, the spirit card is a card that represents your "lesson" "in life". I often refer to it as "The Card for Life". It is symbolized with a Major Arcana card. My card is the Hierophant. And sometimes, as much as I don't like to admit it, it does uniquely and quite adequately describe the way I am.
That is what I find to be so facinating about the Tarot. I have learned so much about myself, (even some good things).
The "Spirit Card" could also be defined as your "destiny card"...I feel that it gives us a "spiritual" look at the lessons that we must learn....what we have come into this lifetime to learn. It can also help us to realize what we already know from "previous experience" It certainly can give you a very objective outlook on who you "really are".
We are not always what we think we are ...or even what we would like to be...there are always new things that we can learn about ourselves...and in doing so ...we shine.
To decide which card is uniquely yours, you need to do a little bit of math.
For example: If your DOB is 6-15-1955
Your Spirit Card would be the Hierophant.
How did I figure that out you ask......here it is...
Take the numbers of your DOB and add them up: The result must end in a single digit.
6 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 5 + 5 = 32
3+2=5
The Hierophant is #5 in the Major Arcana....
