First of all

I want to thank you

for being my mother.

For giving me a part of you.

Thank you for giving me your strength

Thank you for letting me...be me!

Thank you for allowing me to make mistakes

Without saying "I told you so!"

(well, most of the time)

And thanks for the times you did!

I have learned from you...

how to love,

without conditions,

How to give,

unselfishly,

And of course to pay my bills on time!

In the past few months,

of our journey together,

I have learned the most.

I have learned how to be strong,

Even when I thought I was weak.

I learned how to give

When I felt I had nothing to offer.

I learned how to laugh,

Even when there was sorrow.

I learned how to fight,

when I thought I should surrender.

I learned how to let go,

When I wanted to hold tight.

Today is our last day together.

We have closed one door

And another will open.

I feel your love,

I feel your peace.

Spread your wings and fly!
