Here I sit, with paper and pen
It's been so long, I can't remember when
Thoughts of you would flood my mind
And I'd be in a world of a different kind
Where dreams and fantasies all came true
And all my tears vanished because of you
When days and nights melted into one
And you held me tight til the morning sun
The years go by and the memories fade
But a part of you has always stayed
Every now and then, I see your face
Hear your voice in a crowded place
My mind wanders back to yesteryear...
And I think of you with a smile and a tear.
