Just Wondering

I sit here wondering, I prefer it that way
What you have done, and what you'll do today
I'm not so sure I really want to know
They are just passing thoughts, that come and go

But then again, some nights slowly creep by
And I find myself thinking of you,I don't know why
I pick up the phone, I will start to dial
But something inside me, tells me to wait awhile

How do I explain these tears that fall
Or when I am sleeping, I hear you call
Why don't these feelings just go away
And leave me alone, until some painless day

Why do I love you, knowing you don't feel the same
Why can't I forget, I ever knew your name?
Why don't you care, do you just pretend?
Am I your lover, or a "special" friend?

I miss you sometimes, when I'm all alone
While the wind is howling, and the house quietly moans
Why does it seem the world is so empty and cold
When I'm sleeping alone, with no one to hold

I love you, it is true, but it is just my fate
I didn't understand things, until it was to late
I thought I saw love hidden deep in your eyes
But...it was something else..now I realize
