I waited for the phone to ring,
I waited for the door's opening,
I waited to hear the sound of your voice,
I waited for you to make another choice.

I waited for you to stop being mad,
I waited for you to forget the fight we had,
I waited for you to write me a letter,
I waited for you to see changes for the better.

I waited for you to try and understand,
I waited for you to take my hand,
I waited for you to hold me tight,
I waited for you before turning out the light.

I waited for you to be able to explain,
I waited for you to ease my pain,
I waited for you to dry my tears,
I waited for you to comfort my fears...

I am still waiting ....
